Grow launches in Latam, fueled by Ripio

Grow's users move from pesos to global markets in one step, without the usual USD conversion costs. The rails making it possible: Ripio's crypto infrastructure, wFIAT stablecoins and APIs, built for companies launching financial products across Latin America.

For most people in Latin America, investing in global markets is not a matter of choice but of geography. Access to stocks, bonds and other yield-generating instruments typically requires a foreign bank account, a brokerage willing to onboard international clients, and multiple currency conversions that erode returns before the first trade is made. The result: millions of savers across the region are left with limited local options, while the world's deepest capital markets remain out of reach. Not because they lack the means or the intent to invest, but because the rails to get there were never built for them.

That is starting to change. On July 7, Grow opens its public beta in Latin America: A global investing account that lets users fund their account in pesos and access U.S. stocks, ETFs, commodities and other global assets in minutes, from their phone.

Ripio-Grow

Built on Ripio's infrastructure

What users experience as a simple, fast app is made possible by a layer of financial infrastructure that Ripio has spent years building for Latin America. Grow integrates three core components of Ripio's B2B stack:

  • Local on-ramps  that let users fund their accounts in Argentine pesos, Colombian pesos, and other Latin American currencies using the payment methods they already know and trust.
  • wFIAT, Ripio's suite of local-currency stablecoins (wARS, wBRL, wMXN, wCOP, wCLP, wPEN ), which converts local currency 1:1 and removes the traditional detour through the U.S. dollar, one of the main sources of friction and cost for Latin American investors.
  • APIs that connect those rails directly into Grow's product, so the entire flow, from deposit to investment, happens in one place.

In practice, this means a user in Buenos Aires, Lima or Bogotá can go from local currency to a global portfolio in a single step, without opening foreign accounts and get direct access to tokenized equities directly from pesos

Grow

Blockchain, working quietly in the background

Grow's users may never think about blockchain, and that is exactly the point. For Ripio, this launch reflects a conviction the company has held since 2013: that crypto and blockchain technology deliver the most value when they disappear into everyday financial life, powering products that are simpler, cheaper and more open than what traditional rails allow.

Every account funded in pesos and every conversion settled on wFIAT is blockchain infrastructure doing what it does best: moving value across borders and currencies without the cost structure of legacy systems. Grow is the latest example of how this technology is quietly becoming part of daily financial life across Latin America.
